Hello and Happy International Children’s day!
June 1st is without a doubt a special day all around the world. It honors children in a celebration of fun and games. But why stop there?
At Touchpoint, we believe that we should also celebrate the inner child. It’s time to get up close and personal with Alexandra, our awesome product marketing manager. Enjoy!
Hi there! I’m an ex-journalist with a strong content marketing and product background. I live in Bucharest, and I handle Product Marketing activities for Touchpoint. I joined the company in April 2023, so everything is still pretty new to me.
I start my day with a huge cup of coffee, usually on my small balcony. In the mornings I plan the rest of my day and usually get sidetracked, re-prioritizing as I go.
My day-to-day activities include a myriad of things. From doing competitive research on products and services similar to Touchpoint to rethinking the way we structure our website and contributing to go-to-market activities.
At the end of the day, when all is said and done on the professional side, I like to Netflix and chill or have an evening stroll around Lacul Morii.
My favorite project is going live with the Touchpoint customer service solution by the end of the year. It’s exciting because I get to see (and influence) the end-to-end development of the product and the commercial offering.
From beta testing to messaging and value propositions, pricing strategies, and product positioning – it will be one heck of a ride.
I have a BA in Political Science and an MA in Comparative Politics. Both helped me kick-start my career as a foreign affairs journalist.
After about seven years of doing print and online media, I switched gears and got interested in digital marketing. I started as a Content Marketing Writer for a US-based SaaS SPM company and immediately felt that software development is an industry I enjoy being a part of.
I also worked as a B2B copywriter for one of the largest advertising companies in the world. Then I continued as a Product Marketing Manager for one of the leading B2B e-commerce platforms.
Having all this knowledge of B2B and SaaS products made me want to combine it with my content marketing background, and that’s how I ended up applying for this position at Touchpoint – best decision ever!
Be more assertive! I learned that having the guts to speak my mind and having the knowledge and arguments to back up my claims is always a winning combo.
And also, not really a piece of advice, but something that I found to be true and that works for me daily – ownership and autonomy in what I do keep me motivated and on track.
Just go with your instincts – they are usually the best compass. The path might not be clear initially, but as you gain more and more experience, you will learn to strike the right balance between doing what you love and doing what you’re great at. And always keep learning.
I enjoy traveling to sunny destinations (don’t we all?), going to rock concerts, and hanging out with friends. On a typical Saturday afternoon, I usually have brunch with a couple of girlfriends or go on a shopping spree with my sister.
In the rapidly evolving SaaS B2B space, I have seen a clear trend toward creating intuitive and simple products for users. Gone are the days of full-blown, bulky solutions where users struggle to navigate through over-complicated software and only use a fraction of its functionalities.
At Touchpoint, we recognize the importance of delivering streamlined experiences that prioritize user efficiency and satisfaction. We rely on user research and feedback to gain a deep understanding of customer pain points and we have a product-led growth mindset.
This knowledge enables us to design sleek, user-friendly interfaces and implement intelligent features that automate repetitive tasks and minimize complexity. That’s how we’ve managed to scale our software development team.
This being said, Touchpoint is uniquely positioned to become a top performer in the B2B SaaS space in the coming years.
Challenge and opportunity are often intermixed. The challenge is to launch a product in a highly competitive and mature market. The opportunity is to do it successfully.
Binging all the Harry Potter movies in one go – and no, believing in some form of magic is not just for kids :).
Alex is an ex-journalist with 10+ years of experience in content creation, product communications, and marketing strategy. She has a knack for the SaaS B2B industry, but her T-shaped marketing skills and journalistic background have prepared her to tackle any challenge head-on.
